Scaling

A chart can use either Arithmetic or Logarithmic scaling to display the price scale.

Arithmetic scaling will calculate the most intelligent scale using the high, the low and a series of acceptable divisors for possible scales. Each price on the scale is shown at an equal distance to the other prices.

A Logarithmic scale can be useful when data covers a large range of price values. The prices on the price scale are not positioned at equal distances. Instead, they are shown so that two equal percent changes in price are at the same vertical distance along the scale.
